DETOX FROM METHADONE DEPENDENCY /
METHADONE DETOX - CONNECTICUT

Methadone maintenance clinics detox from methadone addictions on an outpatient basis by slowly decreasing the methadone that a person gets. This is called an “Administrative Detox.”

If the person wants a different type of detox from methadone, they can:

  • Seek treatment from any agency offering detox. These programs will assess the client's health condition, addiction history, etc. and decide whether they are appropriate for their program.
  • Call a Central Intake/Placement or detox provider to ask about options.
